Who's a Good Blog? is a blog discovery platform designed for readers to easily discover good blogs and for bloggers to promote their postings. This platform is FREE for both blog readers and bloggers.
Readers will be able to access our blog database and view blog thumbnails by either browsing by topic or by searching for specific topics or keywords. Readers can click on the thumbnail, which links directly to the blog. Readers will be able to curate a list of blogs and/or blog topics that interest them and receive email notices of related new postings. Reader feedback will be an important factor in choosing the order in which to present blogs. A number of metrics like views, likes and rankings are being considered.
Bloggers can add their blog(s) to our database and have an opportunity to "tune" the presentation of their blog.
Our focus is evergreen content blogs. To put it another way, not news, not general corporate pages (company blogs are welcome), not forums, not wikis, not podcasts. Just blogs. In fact, as we get started, just blog postings.
Who's a Good Blog? is pleased to announce early access to the platform for bloggers. Before we unleash our crawler to track down blogs on the internet, we are providing exclusive access to add your blog and posts to our database. To be frank we need your help to make you look good on our platform. We need to do an excellent job of taking your great content and turning it into and equally great thumbnail. To do that we are asking for your help.
We know breaking trail is not always easy, so we will show our appreciation by offering a few perks. The first 100 blogs to sign up will be featured now, and again one year from now. While we don't have a lot of traffic to share at the moment we are working on that and will not only provide free front page coverage now we will do it again in one year.
We want your blog thumbnail to look great on our platform and generate lots of traffic for you. You can help us do that by letting us know when we go wrong.
To help us, please sign up to register your blog and provide feedback on how we did.
It is going to take us a minute to dial in our technology to make your blog look as good as possible. Your feedback will help us get it right, and when that happens we all win.
While we have not yet given a lot of thought to monetization of this platform we want to maximize the number of readers and bloggers. To that end we intend the the platform to be free for both bloggers and blog readers. At some point we may use display advertising and/or affiliate links but we are nowhere close to being there yet.
